The St. Leo School PTO Board Members would like to invite all new parents to meet the School Board and Staff, and enjoy a pleasant evening of delightful wines and assorted cheeses. This is an adult only event, no children please.

Please be sure to attend. You will be able to receive information from the principal and your children's teachers.

This event is for parents only. No child care will be available.

You may drop off your student's school supplies (for grades pre-k through 5) when you go to the classrooms to meet the teachers.

(Middle School Parents: please have your children bring their supplies the first day of school, because lockers will be assigned at that time.)  Middle school orientation is August 22nd at 6:30.  If you only have middle school students, please plan to attend this open house as well to get information from the PTO and all paperwork.

15th First Day of School
This is the first day of school. It will be a full day.  School is open at 7:00 am or students may report directly to classrooms starting at 7:30 am. .

Place: We will start out in Parish Hall and then move to classrooms
27th - Sep 17th Fall MAP testing begins
The fall MAP testing window is August 27 - September 17th.  Watch for information from your child's teacher regarding exact day and time for the test for that grade.  Please try not to schedule appointments away from school during testing.

3rd Labor Day - No School

12th Picture Day
Students will have pictures taken for the yearbook.  Picture orders will go home with students.  To order pictures or sibling pictures please be sure to return the order form.

13th PTO Meeting - Parish Hall (6:30 PM)
Come to the PTO meeting and be enrolled in a chance to win a free months tuition.  Each time you attend a PTO meeting you get 1 hour of family service and 1 chance for the end of the year drawing for a free month of tuition.  If you attend all 5 PTO meetings you will receive 10 chances in the drawing.

There will be a speaker for our September meeting.  Students whose parents' attend the meeting may come out of uniform on Monday, September 17th.
14th Family Movie Night (7:00 PM)
Bring you pillows and blankets and join us for Family Movie Night in the Parish Hall.  Snacks and drinks will be provided.
19th Private Transportation in the afternoon
Woodford County Schools have a scheduled half-day, therefore there will be no bus service in the afternoon.

  October 2018 Events

2nd - 2th Parent-Teacher Conferences (3:15 PM - 6:00 PM)
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held from 3:15 to 6:00 on 10/2/18 and from 1:00 - 6:00 on 10/3/18.  Sign ups will be posted on Sycamore for computerized sign up 2 weeks prior to conferences.
3rd 1/2 Day of School **Parent-Teacher Conferences ** Dismissal at 12:45 (1:00 PM)
Due to parent-teacher conferences there will be an early release on 10/3/2018.  Students will be dismissed at 12:45 pm.  Lunch will be served and EDC will be available.  EDC spots are by reservation only.
3rd Parent-Teacher Conferences (1:00 PM)
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held from 3:15 to 6:00 on 10/2/18 and from 1:00 - 6:00 on 10/3/18. Sign ups will be posted on Sycamore 2 weeks prior to conferences.
4th - 9th Fall Break - No School
School will be on Fall Break starting on Thursday, October 4.  School will resume on Tuesday, October 9th.
8th - 12th WC Fall Break - Private Transportation Required

8th Diocesan In-Service for Teachers (10:00 AM)

10th School Spelling Bee - Parish Hall (1:15 PM)
The class spelling bee winners will be competing to go to the Diocesan Spelling Bee on October 16th.

24th - 26th 5th grade Pine Mountain Field Study
The 5th  class will visit Pine Mountain Settlement School to study Ecology, Native Americans, and Earth Science.

Our members of Y club will be putting a bill together and presenting it at the Kentucky Youth Assembly.

Join us for wonderful crafts and items perfect for Christmas gifts at the 4th annual St. Leo Christmas Bazaar in the Parish Hall.  We will have many vendors with fantastic and unusual gift and craft items.
