Lector Ministry

Purpose:   To proclaim the Word clearly and effectively to the
                  congregation.

Qualifications:  Excel in the proclamation of Scripture.  Must have
                            the willingness to give adequate preparation time
                            before each assigned liturgy.  Willingness to attend
                            training session with Sr. Mary Ann.

Duties:      *Give sufficient time to preparing the assigned Scripture
                   *Arrive at least 15 minutes before start of liturgy
                   *Sign in and review assigned reading before Mass
                   *Proclaim the word of God with conviction during the
                      assigned liturgies
                    *Obtain a substitute lector if unable to serve at the
                      assigned liturgies
                    *Attend all training sessions as required

Time Commitment:   One Mass approximately every 3 to 4 weeks
                                    Preparation time required to give meaning to
                                           Scripture
                                    Attendance at training session
